Allison M. Mulford, JD, MBA, CIPP/EUCaveon, the high-stakes testing industry’s leading exam security provider, announces the appointment of Allison M. Mulford as a Director of Caveon Audit and Response Solutions.

In this role, Ms. Mulford will direct her unique perspective and in-depth knowledge of security issues that testing organizations face to provide auditing, investigative, consulting, and training services to sponsors of secure examinations.

Ms. Mulford brings almost a decade of experience providing legal guidance and support in the assessment industry, serving most recently as Vice President of Legal Affairs to Prometric, LLC.

“We are delighted to have Allison join the CARS team,” says Marc J. Weinstein, President of Caveon Audit and Response Solutions (CARS). “She brings a wealth of experience and subject matter expertise in the strategic and operational management of test security controls for global testing programs. Our clients are fortunate to have Allison as part of the Caveon team working to solve their test security challenges.”

Ms. Mulford has worked collaboratively with test, cyber, and information security teams to develop audit procedures, conduct investigations, and review and advise on their results, including the drafting of mitigation plans and/or corrective actions. She has overseen numerous investigations related to individuals suspected of cheating on secure tests, and other individuals who have aided and abetted cheating or attempted to blackmail test delivery staff to do the same.

Additionally, Ms. Mulford has been heavily involved with the Association of Test Publishers (ATP) security and privacy initiatives, most recently completing a four-year term on the ATP Security Committee at the end of 2021. She served on the Risk & Compliance and Ethics Committees for Prometric and was involved in all aspects of day-to-day legal compliance and oversight, including global data protection and privacy matters.

“The stars really aligned, and I feel that I’ve landed in an amazing community of people that all desire success, but not at the expense of one another,” Ms. Mulford said. “There’s a real sense of kindness and caring that exudes from Caveoners. Everyone has been so gracious with their time and it’s been great to have the opportunity to learn first-hand how CARS delivers solutions and supports our clients.”

Ms. Mulford holds a joint JD/MBA from the University of Baltimore School of Law and Towson University and is also a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/EU). She continues to participate on the ATP International Privacy Subcommittee and has authored numerous privacy-related informational guides, white papers, and bulletins in that role. She enjoys making people laugh, making others feel seen and appreciated, and getting her dogs (Mowgli, Gryffin, and Sawyer, otherwise known as the in-home security team) outdoors for adventures. She lives and works in Baltimore, MD with her partner, Morgan.

Although Ms. Mulford is a practicing attorney, she does not provide legal advice or legal services through Caveon.
