Caveon, the high-stakes testing industry’s leading exam security provider, announces the appointment of Cicek Svensson as Sales Director. A business psychologist and former Chairman of the Board for the Association of Test Publishers (ATP), Svensson has spent more than 14 years in the testing industry and will bring her wealth of experience to bear in helping Caveon clients address their test security concerns and improve the validity of their test scores.
“It’s not often in our industry that you get the opportunity to bring on someone with Cicek Svensson’s in-depth industry and sales experience,” says Ben Hunter, Caveon’s Vice President of Sales. “Her arrival at Caveon will help us expand into new markets and strengthen our position with partners in the industry. As they say, ‘a rising tide raises all boats,’ and we expect Svensson’s arrival will drive success at the individual, team, and client levels.”
Prior to moving to the United States, Svensson worked for the largest test publisher company in Sweden where she developed psychological assessments for the international and Nordic markets. When moving to the United States, she managed North American business development and marketing for a UK-based company in the testing space before working with several assessment companies to build their brand awareness and business strategy.
Aside from her responsibilities at Caveon, Cicek is an active member of several professional organizations, including the Association of Test Publishers (ATP), where she served as the Board Chair in 2019, two terms as Chair of the ATP European Region, and as Chair of the ATP I/O Division in 2015. She is also an active member of the Society for Industrial & Organizational Psychology (SIOP), the International Test Commission (ITC), and the IT Certification Test Council (ITCC).
“Test security is a fundamental aspect of testing that allows test takers to feel secure in their experience, their test scores to be fair and valid, and to know that the quality of the assessment has not been compromised,” says Svensson. “I have always admired Caveon’s mission-driven approach and was searching for the opportunity to be part of an organization that is forward-looking, people-focused, and aligned with my values—a company that can make a difference in people’s lives. I look forward to contributing at Caveon and furthering its mission.”
